Its finally here, my brand new BSA Ultra.

I have scoped it with a Leupold 3-9x33 EFR.

Nothing beats the feeling of yet another new rifle:

Pretty cool rifle. What kind of velocity do you get from one of those?

Here is a string shot with 16 grains JSB Jumbo Exact 5.51 mm domed pellets.

Pressure was 200-110 bar and the chrony was a Beta.

1. 681
2. 679
3. 689
4. 685
5. 684
6. 684
7. 682
8. 686
9. 686
10. 686
11. 689
12. 689
13. 688
14. 689
15. 688
16. 689
17. 689
18. 680
19. 682
20. 681

21. 675
22. 674
23. 670
24. 665
25. 658

It seems like I can get 20 good shots with ave of 685 fps and a spread of 10 fps so this leaves me with a ME of 16.68 ft/lbs.

Rifle is zero at 35 yards giving a usable range similar to a shotgun.

Nice, air guns are certainly way more advanced than they were when I had one many years ago, check out this site - http://www.beeman.com/index.html

They are fetching some big bucks, nice stuff though.

Here is my second air rifle.

This one do I use for 100 meter targetshooting.

Well, it DOES have a very loopy trajectory and it is very sensible for windy conditions but thats a part of the challange.

MV is 975 fps, not far from a subsonic 22LR round and the pellet is 10.33 grains.
