A.G.C. -- DAY AT THE RANGE An all day fun shoot and social event Date –September 23, 2006

Monumental Rifle and Pistol Club and Montgomery Citizens for a Safer Maryland are cooperatively planning a day of Fun Shooting and social activities. ALL AGC CLUBS are invited to take part in the organization and conduct of the event. On Saturday, September 23, 2006 the AGC range will be the site of several classroom sessions, firing line experiences and general fun for the whole family. The public is invited to take part. Those curious or just sitting on the fence can come out and learn about safe and responsible firearm owners and handling. Media and politicians will be invited to learn facts to counter the distortion they are often fed.
Please contact your club officers and ask them about AGC Day at the Range. For more information contact Bob Culver by E-Mail at < bobcul@locul.com >

Expected classroom activities include: a brief familiarization and safety introduction to those new to firearms, a sample of a Women on Target event, specialty discussions on politics – law – technical disciplines, etc. It is up to you to suggest and then supply your special interests.

Expected firing line attractions include what ever you can imagine, from .17HMR to .50BMG, Belt Fed semi-auto versions of US 1919 and M2HB guns, flint locks to AR-15’s, pistols of all types and sizes. If you have something interesting, weird or even just mundane, let us know and bring it to the line.

Capping the day will be an afternoon social event with an outdoor cookout.

Helpers are needed to: Plan activities, arrange and collect supplies, wrangle firearms and their owners to host shooters on the lines and instruct them about their firearms. Helpers are needed to run and instruct in the class rooms, log in visitors and get them properly oriented, control crowds and post signs. Helpers are needed as range officers and to coach the lines. Helpers are needed to set up tents, as “gofers”, cooks and cleaners. If you would like to help E-mail Bob at < bobcul@locul.com >

Here is a chance to showcase your club and its AGC home to the public. Contact the range office, your club officers, Bob Culver as above and sign on to the fun!
