Ok as some of you now in two months I am leaving. I will be leaving behind my darling M-4 in the care of my mother:( for HD. now here is my predicament my mother is likely to shoot my M-4 which is ok but she is not so likely to clean it properly or at all.:( should I sell the M-4 and by her something that is hers like a B-storm, that I wont care if it gets left unattended after a Range session and get a new M-4 when I am the one who is carring for it. any help would be awsome:unsure:

I bet you could show her how to use a bore snake. :)

Keep it. I wouldn't worry about it that much unless your mother is a real "gun nut" like most of us here. If she is going to shoot the heck out of it then just teach her some of the basics of cleaning. Also wouldn't be a bad idea anyway since she would need some basic knowledge of take down in case something goes wrong.
She'll be a better shooter if she knows how and why to clean it. Could be a nice afternoon spent with her.
Stay safe over there, and we'll wish you a quick return.

Teaching her is not a bad idea, I'll try that and see how it goes
Gundoc I unfortunately am not headed for a foreign combat zone (yet:D ) It's of to basic for me.
thanks guys
Side note: she is most definetly not a Gun nut:lol:

Ok, I have a much better idea! You can just let me take care your m4 while your gone. I will love her, keep her clean and well oiled, and shoot the snot out of if.
