Recently I came to learn of two rifles other than the M1 Carbine chambered in .30 carbine. One of these is an AR clone from Olympic Arms Inc., and the other is a stange little Israeli carbine called the Magul. As far as I can tell, both of these rifles take standard M1 carbine magazines. Mainly what I'm wondering is what you guys think about an AR in .30 carbine, would you buy it?

I personaly would just stick with the M1, but I want to know what some of you think.

Here are some pictures:

Because boogy a Mugal In .30carbine is way better than a MP5 in 9mm.
now personaly I would just modify a original M-1 but hay thats just me

I like the classic looks of the original M1 carbine. So the answer would be no I wouldn't buy an AR chambered for 30 carbine. I have seen the sharp increase in prices of GI carbines but we still have some commercial ones available. Although I'm an AR guy I don't see the point of 30 carbine in the AR. We can get the AR 5.56, 7.62x39, 6.8 and 6.5 and they all out perform the carbine round. 9mm is a different story as it is still cheap compared to 30 carbine.
