Hey Bill-
That's pretty cool.
Here's a little tidbit. In cecil county, MD, namely Elk Neck State Forest, there is a public shooting range. Rifle, pistol, shotgun, and bows allowed. No auto's, however. The fee is 10$ daily, or 50$ yearly, w/ unlimited visits. The yearly permit runs from Jan.1- Dec. 31. This is a plain range, w/o many creature comforts. However, there are about 20 benches on the rifle side, and it is covered by an awning.
Please note- you must bring your own targets and stand, and the center of your target must be at least 48" from the ground. If your stand isn't tall enough, you will be asked to leave the firing line. Paper and clay targets only,(biodegradable, and no ricochets), and you must take all trash w/ you(no trash cans). No alcohol allowed, and it's first come, first served. Be there early(opens at sunrise, closes, dusk), as benches fill quickly. Bring food and drink, as there aren't any stores for a few miles. Porta-pot provided, 1 for each sex. About 1 hour from Balto, 1.5 from philly, and 1 from wilmington, del.
As soon as I rtemember the number, I'll post it.
