View Full Version : M1 Carbine in .22 cal
I'm trying to figure out the maker of a rifle i have that looks exactly like the .30 M1 carbine but in a .22 long rifle model.
I only have the barrel, lower receiver and the stock. The other parts are missing and i pressumed they're lost. I really want to restore this piece cause I inherited it from my grandfaher.
Does anyone have an idea what rifle i have?

I remember The Plainfield Carbine, or was that the one that Iver Johnson made?
Didn't Universal also make a .22 version?

G22, I think ERMA made a .22 M1 carbine a German company
Thanks guys.
Hey dave, the pic you posted really helped identify the rifle i have.
The stock and barrel seems to be the same as mine.
You wouldn't have a close up pic, or do you? The barrel i have has an inscription .22 long rifle on the side .
Do you think parts are still available for this rifle?

Have you looked on e-gunparts.com (Numrich). They have all kinds of odd-ball stuff. If you don't see it on their website, send them an e-mail. Numrich does have quite a bit that is not listed on the website. I once ran across a M1 with a .22 barrel and the .30 case was necked down.
