My Norinco SKS is finally home after some extensive work by John at GWG. It came to me as standard 20” barrel. I couldn’t find the para fixed mag I wanted here in CA for a decent price, so I bought this one and went a little crazy. List of mods include: barrel chop to para length, Rick’s brake (permanently attached), sweet trigger job, Tech sight rear, fire sight front post, and OD dura-coat. The result is a really nice SHTF/GP carbine that is CA legal and 922r compliant. I love it. Points like a dream. We are going to the range on Friday and I will post after action review. I never knew an SKS trigger could be so nice!

VERY nice SKS you have.

I especially like the O.D. Dura-Coat. It looks very nice on the gun.

The muzzle brake looks good too.

How much did all the work set you back? It looks like it was worth it.

Thanks! If the range was open today I'd skip work and go shoot! As for $, well you know the deal ... you get what you pay for! I think the prices are very reasonable given the time he puts into the project. And I have to admit, I could never do this project in my garage and get something that looks this good.
