OK, this is probably going to be remedial for some but where can a guy find US compliance parts for an SKS. Both the long and short gas rods are easy enough to find but I still need some trigger parts, a bolt, firing pin, etc...
What have you folks found in the past?
I just bought a new stock with the AR-15 type stock and need some parts to make it compliant. I plan on using it for training purposes so the parts need to be of good quality please.

Thanks in advance.

TAPCO's pretty much got the market cornered on that

Looking for other parts. Already have what TAPCO has to offer. I still need 1 part. Since I'm in CA I have to get the parts without doing the detachable mag option they offer. SKS's with detachable mags are banned in CA. I have one of the D types registered as a AW back in the day. Anything else is verboten. They didn't even let you register them after the ban (common practice).
Anyway, looking for US made 10 round FIXED mags, trigger parts, etc...
Any help is greatful.

You better go over to this board and ask these guys. I am but a padawan learner, and many of these guys are outright Jedi Masters when it comes to SKS stuff. http://sksboards.com/forum/index.php

I just purchased a 10 round fixed USA mag from CDNN today. I hope this thing works. I can't find any other parts anywhere to get my minimum of 10 total import parts. If this works it counts as mag body, floor plate and folower :).

Check out http://www.rockloc.com, they make several parts. I talked to their shop about this the other day.

I have a Yugo SKS M59/66 and I have removed the bayo and mounted a BSA Reddot scope on the bolt cover. The Reddot was manufactured in China. These are the only mods I've made. Am I legal in SC? Have I removed the C&R status by these two seemingly harmless changes?

I think so.

Zenn900: The realms of C*R status are murky but generally once you modify it in a perminant manner (bayonet mount removal) it drops the C&R status. Its still a great gun though and it will not effect your C&R stus if you have a C&R license. You just can't transfer it as a C&R firearm to anyone else. Now its a normal rifle.
As far as legal in your state, I'd check with your local state police. They are generally the best informed.

I got all my 922(r) parts with my 10 round fixed mag (any US made mag will do but I'm working with the CA laws).

Yes. It's a federal regulation. I don't think the red dot matters. It's the removal of the bayonette.
