Are they any good?

SW's quality control was hit or miss but mostly miss. All of the SW can be made to run, but few worked well out of the box. It was also my understanding that SW offered very little customer support to the purchaser. I've shot a couple of SW guns and they all ran well but they had been tinkered with to get them that way.

If you are interested in a HK-94 you might want to opt for an original.
HK is about to release another batch of DOJ guns. When they did this late last year I saw several HK-94 A3's for sale in the $2400.00 range.

Same as what treedawg said. I'd stick with the original. I've seen a few of the clones and they all seem to need some kind of work to function OK. I'm sure there are exceptions but the H&K is reliable. Cost more but this is one of those things where you get what you pay for.
If CA DOJ is releasing more guns jump on them quick. They sold pretty fast from what I remember. The last batch were all pretty good guns, especially for the price.

I'll also say that SW's QC is spotty. On a few diff HK forums, they're not too well accepted/liked.
