My friend Jim invited me on a Pheasant Hunt last Wednesday. It was my very first hunt of any kind and I had a really good time. We were 4 gunners, which I understand is on the high side, but I loved every moment of being out there. The weather was beautiful, and the Suisun Marsh Pheasant Club provided plenty of birds for us. It was a day I won't forget. Here are some pictures:

My friend Jim on the right, his dog Andy and myself on the left with our share of the game.

My "Weapon Of Not So Much Destruction". Mine is the one on the right. A Luger Semi Auto. Love the gun, I use it mostly for trap shooting. Has never let me down.

German guy-
Great pics, and sounds like you had a good time. A bad day hunting is still better than a good day at work, unless you're a pro hunter!!

Thanks 2rangers!

My boss was cool enough to give me some time off so I could go during the week. And although I really enjoy my job, this was an incredible experience and I hope to go more next season.

I want to try and go on a pig hunt this year. Apparently there is plenty of hogs in the Monterey area and I would love to try and get one or two with my buddy. Having never done this sort of thing before I'll have to do plenty of research first, since I don't have any friends or family that are into hog hunting. Does anybody have any pointers on where to start from scratch?

Great shooting on a beautiful day by the looks. Got some near where I go shooting but never had a firearm on me when I see them (Murphy's Law).
