Abraham: The Father of Faithful; Father of the Promise.

We all know of the Abraham of Sunday school, who out of faith, prepared to offer up his son, Isaac. He knew that God would stay his hand, or resurrect Isaac, because he believed the Promise given to him “that in Isaac shall thy seed be called”. So far we have gone through a great deal of “un-learning”, but due to this being the time of the great “falling away” or “apostasy” mentioned in Scriptures. After “leveling” and “plumbing” up the foundation in the Genesis creation story, the next logical place to go is to the “Father of the Faithful”, Abraham.

Abraham was a very special man in the eyes of God and a perfectly selected to bring about the promise given to the “serpent” in Genesis 3:15.

15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
The enemy of God and His people has tried to pollute the lineage of Christ many times over the years, and his serpentine children continue to promote the teaching that Christ was a half breed of some sort, descended from the curses Moabites, the Canaanite, and every other parasite on the planet. We will put that all to rest in the coming pages, but for now, we rediscover the Promise made to “our forefather, according to the flesh”. (Roman 4:1)

We are introduced to this man first when he was known as Abram, before his name was changed to Abraham. He was a direct descendant of Shem, the son of Noah, and a man named Eber from whence we get the term “Hebrew”.

We find that Abram had a special relationship with God the Father from very early on, and The Lord made many promises to Abram, and to his descendants through Isaac. Let’s look at a few.

1 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:1

“And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.” Genesis 13: 14-16

5 “And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” Genesis 15:5

1 “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.” Genesis 17:1-6

17 “And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
18Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?” Genesis 18:1
Abraham was very special to God for many reasons. He was upright in God’s eyes and was given the Promise because he kept God’ Laws. Below is God’s Promise to Isaac, and explanation as to why Abraham was chosen of God.
1 “And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
2And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
4And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
5Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.” Genesis 26:1-5

How can this be? This was long before Moses, and Mt. Sinai. Where did he learn of God’s, “commandments, statutes, and laws”? In the Book of Jasher, mentioned twice in the Old Testament, (Joshua 10:13 & 2nd Samuel 1:18) we find that Abraham sent his son Isaac to the House of Shem and Eber to learn the ways of the Lord after the death of Sarah.
“And when the days of their mourning passed by Abraham sent away his son Isaac, and he went to the house of Shem and Eber, to learn the ways of the Lord and his instructions, and Abraham remained there three years.” Jasher 24:17

This goes to show that the Divine Law of God existed long before Moses. What happened at Mt. Sinai was the codifying of the Law and the addition of ordinances to resolve sins. Paul wrote of this in his letter to the Galatians.

16 “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.” Galatians 3:16-17

There are many today who claim that Paul’s writings “do away” with the Divine Law of God”. They do this ignorant of the fact that Christ is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, and that it was the ordinances and blood sacrifices that were done away with. Christ made that clear, but it is often ignored by those who wish to continue a willingly sinful life.

17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-19

Abraham was promised this over and over, and his wife even laughed. When she did, her name was changed from Sariai to Sarah, which means “laughter”.
In fact, she became very impatient and sent her handmaid, Hagar to Abraham to “rush” the promise. This was a mistake, and Hagar bore Abraham a son named Ishmael. God told Abraham that it would be through Isaac that his seed should be called. This is one of the few instances where the name of a child was ordained by the Lord Himself.

17Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
18And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
19And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.” Genesis 17:17-19
Notice that Abraham even doubted, and asked that Ishmael “live before thee”. God had this to say about Ishmael.

20 “And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.” Genesis 17:20-21

Notice that a promise was given to Ishmael. One that is not recognized at all by modern churchianity. Ishmael father the “twelve princes of Arabia”.
God earlier had this to say this of Ishmael’s descendants.

12 “And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” Genesis 16:12This describes the Arab people perfectly, does it not?

But God had a plan for Isaac, as we discovered earlier. There is a reason that he was named “Isaac”, and we were told that his name was known before he was born. Let’s look at the promise passed on to him.

12 “And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.” Genesis 21:12

All of the promises be read earlier given to Abraham by the Lord were passed on to Isaac. The difference is that “Isaac’s” name was to some how be attached to his descendants. This would be a clue in later time to who these descendants were. Our Omnipotent Heavenly Father knew what the “sons of hell” would do, long before they did. In Amos 7:16 the Israelite are called, “House of Isaac”.

16 “Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.”

This is a very important factor in identifying Isaac’s descendants as they migrate through the Caucasus mountain range after the Assyrian captivity that took place in 745 B.C. As they migrated they were called “Sacca”, “Saci”, Sachsens and “Saccsons” etc… As we move on through our “unlearning” that has blinded us of these truths of paramount importance, we will see who these “sons of Isaac” really are.

Isaac fathered two sons that were twins. One named Jacob, the other Esau. They struggled with one another from the womb.

21 “And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
23And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger”. Genesis 25:21-23
Two nations, two “manners of people”. How can this be?
25And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
26And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.” Genesis 25:25-26

It is clear that Esau was born first, and thus the elder, but not without a fight. As the first born, Esau was to inherit the birthright, the blessings that were passed from Abraham to his father Isaac, the promise to be a “multitude of nations”, “the sand of the sea” and the “stars of the heavens”. His father Isaac had full intention of giving him his birthright blessing because he was born first. But Esau had a little problem. He had eyes for the women of the cursed lineages.

34 “And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:
35Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.” Genesis 26:35Who were the “Hittites”, and why would Isaac and Rebekah not approve of this union?

15 “And Canaan begat Sidon his first born, and Heth,
16And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
17And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad”. Genesis 10:15

Remember Canaan? He was the one that was cursed because of the union between Ham, and the wife of Noah (likely Ham’s mother) in Genesis 9:22. The descendants of Heth were keeping also keeping some very interesting company.

18 “In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
19The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
20And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
21And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgash**es, and the Jebusites.” Genesis 15:18-21

We know from our earlier study that the Kenites were descended from Cain, who slew his righteous brother Able.

Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance: 7014 “Qayin kah'-yin the same as 7013 (with a play upon the affinity to 7069); Kajin, the name of the first child, also of a place in Palestine, and of an Oriental tribe:--Cain, Kenite(-s).” (It is very interesting to note that Dr. Strong mentioned an “oriental” tribe. What is given great reverence and worship among the Orientals? What is found on nearly EVERYTHING that represents them? The Red Dragon! Now what happens when you have many different stocks of people inhabiting the same area? Take a walk down the street and you will soon find out. They begin to “homogenize”, to mix, and inter-marry, do they not? The entire gaggle is a cursed people, but let us examine this one group for a second, “the Rephaims”.

7497 “ rapha' raw-faw' or raphah {raw-faw'}; from 7495 in the sense of invigorating; a giant:--giant, Rapha, Rephaim(-s).”

Remember our previous chapter where we determine from ancient, as well as very recent modern evidence that the flood of Noah was local? We also discussed the “why” of the flood of Noah as being the “Giants” or “Nephilim”? Well here are some more giants that proves that they were not all wiped out, mainly because they were not all in that area. Moses, as he penned the sixth chapter of Genesis never claimed that they were all wiped out. In the very opening, he says this:

4 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Genesis 6:4

He says, “also after that”. As we read along in our Bibles, we see a second witness when the children of Israel were instructed to take the Promised Land, but were afraid because of the spies’ report of “giants”.
33 “And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13:33

We can see here that Esau did much more than marry someone that Momma and Poppa didn’t like, can we not? This was a very serious transgression, and Our Omnipotent Heavenly Father knew of this long before it happened. This is why Rebecca was given the prophecy that “two manners of people” and “two nations” were in her belly. Esau not only married outside his lineage, but he had no respect for his birthright at all, he even despised it. He didn’t really want it at the time from the way it looks in the following verses.

27 “And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
28And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: 30And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 31And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. 32And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? 33And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 34Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.” Genesis 25:27-34

Needless to say Esau didn’t really care about the promises that God had promised Abraham, and Isaac his father. Scripture doesn’t tell us much of the “why” for this, but the book of Jasher, (mentioned twice in scripture) does.

“And the boys grew up to their fifteenth year, and they came amongst the society of men. Esau was a designing and deceitful man, and an expert hunter in the field, and Jacob was a man perfect and wise, dwelling in tents, feeding flocks and learning the instructions of the Lord and the commands of his father and mother.” Jasher 26:17

We can see here that Jacob was concerned in learning the “instructions of the Lord”, while his brother was concerned with being a “designing and deceitful man”. We also see here that Esau was a hunter. Now I like to hunt as much as the next guy, but not all of the critters Esau hunted were four legged. In order to understand why Esau was so willing to give up his birthright, we have to know if he thought he had an alternative. He wanted the birthright blessings, until he realized he could have something more and greater than his father’s birthright. For the whole story, we go again to the book of Jasher and take a trip back to Ham, the father of Canaan who was cursed.

1 “.And Cush the son of Ham, the son of Noah, took a wife in those days in his old age, and she bare a son, and they called his name Nimrod, saying, At that time the sons of men again began to rebel and transgress against God, and the child grew up, and his father loved him exceedingly, for he was the son of his old age.
2.And the garments of skin which God made for Adam and his wife, when they went out of the garden, were given to Cush.
3.For after the death of Adam and his wife, the garments were given to Enoch, the son of Jared, and when Enoch was taken up to God, he gave them to Methuselah, his son.
4. And at the death of Methuselah, Noah took them and brought them to the ark, and they were with him until he went out of the ark.
5. And in their going out, Ham stole those garments from Noah his father, and he took them and hid them from his brothers.
6 .And when Ham begat his first born Cush, he gave him the garments in secret, and they were with Cush many days.
7. And Cush also concealed them from his sons and brothers, and when Cush had begotten Nimrod, he gave him those garments through his love for him, and Nimrod grew up, and when he was twenty years old he put on those garments.
8.And Nimrod became strong when he put on the garments, and God gave him might and strength, and he was a mighty hunter in the earth, yea, he was a mighty hunter in the field,
and he hunted the animals and he built altars, and he offered upon them the animals before the Lord.”
Nimrod possessed the Garments that YHVH, the Lord made, and gave to Adam and Eve after the fall in the garden, and “they made him powerful”. We all know the story of the tower of Babel. Here is a peek into what happened to Nimrod as he became intoxicated with power, just as our leaders do today.
“And all the princes of Nimrod and his great men took counsel together; Phut, Mitzraim, Cush and Canaan with their families, and they said to each other, Come let us build ourselves a city and in it a strong tower, and its top reaching heaven, and we will make ourselves famed, so that we may reign upon the whole world, in order that the evil of our enemies may cease from us, that we may reign mightily over them, and that we may not become scattered over the earth on account of their wars.”….. And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven”….. And behold these ascended and others descended the whole day; and if a brick should fall from their hands and get broken, they would all weep over it, and if a man fell and died, none of them would look at him.” …. And the Lord knew their thoughts, and it came to pass when they were building they cast the arrows toward the heavens, and all the arrows fell upon them filled with blood, and when they saw them they said to each other, Surely we have slain all those that are in heaven.” Jasher 9:21-39

Now how does this connect with Esau, and the garments?

“And Esau at that time, after the death of Abraham, frequently went in the field to hunt.
And Nimrod king of Babel, the same was Amraphel, also frequently went with his mighty men to hunt in the field, and to walk about with his men in the cool of the day.
And Nimrod was observing Esau all the days, for a jealousy was formed in the heart of Nimrod against Esau all the days.
And on a certain day Esau went in the field to hunt, and he found Nimrod walking in the wilderness with his two men.
And all his mighty men and his people were with him in the wilderness, but they removed at a distance from him, and they went from him in different directions to hunt, and Esau concealed himself for Nimrod, and he lurked for him in the wilderness.
And Nimrod and his men that were with him did not know him, and Nimrod and his men frequently walked about in the field at the cool of the day, and to know where his men were hunting in the field.
And Nimrod and two of his men that were with him came to the place where they were, when Esau started suddenly from his lurking place, and drew his sword, and hastened and ran to Nimrod and cut off his head.
And Esau fought a desperate fight with the two men that were with Nimrod, and when they called out to him, Esau turned to them and smote them to death with his sword.
And all the mighty men of Nimrod, who had left him to go to the wilderness, heard the cry at a distance, and they knew the voices of those two men, and they ran to know the cause of it, when they found their king and the two men that were with him lying dead in the wilderness.
And when Esau saw the mighty men of Nimrod coming at a distance, he fled, and thereby escaped; and Esau took the valuable garments of Nimrod, which Nimrod's father had bequeathed to Nimrod, and with which Nimrod prevailed over the whole land, and he ran and concealed them in his house.
And Esau took those garments and ran into the city on account of Nimrod's men, and he came unto his father's house wearied and exhausted from fight, and he was ready to die through grief when he approached his brother Jacob and sat before him.
And he said unto his brother Jacob, Behold I shall die this day, and wherefore then do I want the birthright? And Jacob acted wisely with Esau in this matter, and Esau sold his birthright to Jacob, for it was so brought about by the Lord. Jasher 27:1-12

Now it is all starting to make sense, is it not. Esau felt that he had the garments, that allowed Nimrod to rule over Babel, and with that kind of power, who would need the measly birthright that was passed down through his fathers. He put his trust in the garments of a blood sacrifice made to cover his forefathers. How was he to know that his brother’s descendants, who he despised for taking what he thought was his, would also have garments to cover their sins?

We all know the story from Sunday school where Jacob deceives his father into blessing him with the birthright (that was rightfully Jacob’s) by putting animal skins on his arms and feeding his father mutton. Jacob’s mother knew that Esau could not be allow to have the birthright blessing of his father, because he was not only wicked, but he mingled the bloodline from which the King would come and “bruise” the head of the serpent. (Genesis 3:15) This is why the Angel of the Lord told her that the “elder would serve the younger”.

From this point forward, Esau/Edom has been at war with the descendants of Jacob. They banded together with all of the cursed peoples, form the descendants of Cain, to Canaan. Here is a sample of their crowd that come against Jacob from the rear where the Elderly and Children are.

6 “The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot”. Psalms 83:6-8

Look who is leading the pack, Esau/Edom, who is mixed with the sons of Cain, Canaan, and the sons of Lot (Amnon and Moab) who were also a product of incest.
The birthright was given to its rightful owner, as was foretold before they were born. But don’t you think Esau isn’t still very angry about this. He is even more so, now that his blood is mingled with the cursed ones, hatred is brought forth even from the womb for the line that would bring forth Christ. Why have we as a whole of Christendom been told these things before? “An enemy hath done this” and its time we know the truth.

It is interesting that in the rotating ad banners above, this site popped up. This is a friend of mine, E. Raymond Capt, and we have shared the same podium on at least two different occasians. I recommend his material for more in depth studies on the subject, and quote his writings frequently in my book. :)
