2005 Duck Season

Got the blind cleaned out and ready to go, now we just need some weather and some ducks.

Practices makes perfect. He’s a little short but can still get his shotgun out the lid and pointed in the right direction. May have to build him a step.

If it ever gets cold enough to push some ducks here, I'll get a picture of his fist one on here. It's supposed to be 70 degrees out today, that's not helping. <_<

ya the weather around here has been really warm lately but its starting to cool off hopefully

Every once in a wile, even a goose comes by.

Outstanding! Was your son with you? Which of you shot the goose?

Unfortunately, my son wasn’t with me for that one. I got that goose on a Friday after my boss kicked me out of work for to many days of vacation left before the end of the year so he was in school.

Our duck hunting is about over for the year. It got cold enough for the slue and river to freeze over where we duck hunt so they all left and there’s only two more weekends of duck season. But goose goes to the end of January so I’m hoping to get him on a goose before it’s over. Maybe over Christmas break. Only trouble is there doesn’t seem to be as many geese in this area as there usually is. Some thing changed there patterns this year around here. O well, we just may have to concentrate a little harder on coyotes. I’m sure he won’t mind.
