Top one was bought as a woodless dane from the CMP, and has a new stock I also bought from the CMP. Remaining parts were purchased from Numrich. Bottom one is all original Collectors grade as received from the CMP and cleaned up. Top one was Mfg 1943 bottom 1955 both at the Springfield Armory. Top one was rebarreled with a 1946 barrel, and has a Winchester bolt so it's a mix match of parts. The bottom one is pretty much all springfield ans has much of it's original parkerizing even inside the action assembly.

Same on the 1943 showing that this rifle obviously saw much more use. Although the flash makes the picture look worse than it does in real life.

The original SA stock cartouche on the 1955... You can almost make it out even... <_<

All in all I think both guns look pretty good. The 1955 one certainly is in better shape but the other one I am sure has more stories to tell.
