Folks I had an awesome experience Fall turkey hunting this year. These are my first fall turkeys. It is hard enough usually to get one in the fall, but I bagged two!
Basically I tracked down several birds, and when I shot the first, the others scattered and I killed the second on the fly! My grandad is 87, and though he was not an avid fall turkey hunter, he has only taken one in the fall. He was impressed. It was a great hunt, and I will enjoy telling this story to my buds this week!.
Unfortunately my son wasn't with me this weekend, since he was at his mom's house. He did get a dove with his grandpa that he was proud of, and had to call me from his mom's cell phone! It was his first one! I hope they got pics. Now I am ready for Deer season to open in two weeks. Pheasant just opened, and I will be heading to North Nebraska soon to start off the season with one of my best AF comrades. Good luck to all you hunters! Mark :sniper:
