Just read this yesterday and thought I would pass it along.

Eye relief can easily be determined by shining a flashlight through the objective lens of the scope and holding your hand in front of the ocular lens. Move your hand back and forth until the flashlight beam is focused on the palm on your hand. When it is focused, the distance between your hand and the ocular lens is the eye relief for that scope.
