I recently purchased a Choate supressor/compensator off of Ebay with a "welded" in set screw (Someone used liquid metal -NOT loctite) for my Mini 14 Ranch.
I carefully got it drilled out and retapped and it's just like brand new. In the process it got shiny (all the wiping, oil, etc,) and I also slightly marred my front site and muzzle brake. I have seen some mention of bead blasting, but can't find that link now.
I have access to a bead blaster but they are using Stainless Steel shot. Will this dull or shine the parts I mentioned? <_<
