Need some quick opinions

Gun show today and tomorrow so I need quick responses from you SKS experts.

Saw two Yugo SKS's that I may be interested in. First was what the guy called factory rebuilt. What the heck does that mean? Are they still being made? This one was priced at 139.00. Second one was what he called new. Looked marginally better than the first and was absolutely covered in cosmoline. It was 179.00

Both guns had bayonets, not spikes, that looked 100 percent.

I need to know what to look for and if you feel these prices are in line with what these things usually go for. Thanks for your help.

What that usually means is the rifle was used and sent to the arsenal for repairs before long term storage. Most people call that "re-arsenaled". To me, no matter what kind of gun it is, if I can get brand spankin new for only $40 more, I'll take it.

Well Albania stopped production of theirs back in the 70's, as far as I know they use what's left of them in limited numbers. And China's factories keep pumping out SKS rifles right beside the AK-47 for their military. Yes, China still uses the SKS in their military.
