Just got a used 14 and is looking for mags! ;) It came with some Ruger LE 20rd so I don't need more 20rd mags, really interested in the Promag 30 polymer ($39/3) or new Eagle 30 ($27/3).

There have been some complains about promag 30's on this board, I am trying to figure out the probability of getting a bad Pro-30..... If the % is too high I might have to try something else

If you have used promag 30 polymer would you please provide some info? such as :
# of mags tried,
performence,
# of problem mags (if any)?
I am sure I am not the only one who is interested in these info.....

Thanks in advance!

I have 8 ProMag polymer 30's.
At least 300 rounds through each of the mags.
Not one problem with any of them.

I also have 6 of the new production Eagle smoke polymer magazines.
I have not fully tested them yet, only 60-90 rounds through each so far, but no problems yet.

They are decent mags, good range mags at least. I think the feed lips are a bit weak (should have been reinforced like real Thermolds) which can cause rounds to be popped out of the mag when you don't want them to. Seems to only happen when filled to 30 rounds though. Otherwise they are pretty good mags, for aftermarket. Still not as good as factory or PMI in my opinion.

I picked up a Pro mag poly at a gun show for $13, the feed lips broke about half off each lip but I did not have any mis-feeding issues. I think I'll just look for the metal mags.
