this is a 43 smith corona. before anyone starts thinking that I commited an act of atrocity, I'll let you know it was sporterized in the late 50's. My nieghbor shot it just a few times after he had it done and it hasn't been shot since then. The bore looks brand new. I had to have it reblued. the bright blue really looks good, also had my gunsmith jewel the bolt. I then redid the stock, you can read about it in the refinishing forum. it reallly came out nice, but if i could, I would rather have it unmessed with and all original. heres a few pics

next I would like to put a new scope on it. for being over 40 years old it still has crisp image, but it has some rust spots on it.

Very nice looking rifle. Don't worry, I received a rifle from my father in law that would have been in EXCELLENT condition, but he tried to sporterize it.

Anyway, I like your rifle.

New here but IMHO it looks GREAT. I picked up a customized 03A3 at a gun show several years ago and am getting ready to do some further work on it and appreciated the pics.
thanks

ive got a 43 smith corona too my father bought years ago already sporterized but all the steel has the original finnish even has the orginal bolt and handle, trigger guard, and floor plate. Ive been thinking about ressurecting it back to original if I can find original SC furniture and hardware that wont cost me 500 bucks to get.
