Started off with 2 of the 25rd 10/22 BC mags.First one was the model with plastic feedlips which functioned fine.Next I tried one with steel feedlips. One shot then I noticed it was not feeding.Closer inspection found no tension due to bad spring.Sending it back for a replacement Thursday.fter this I pulled out the mini and tried a 30rd promag polymer.Good news feed great no jams and tight fit.Bad news the last 2 rounds would pop out when I smacked it or drop it.I tried this many times and had the same thing happen. But it never happened during fire.Overall seem to be good mags. But I just dont beliver either mag will hold up over time.Noticed promag has a 32rd 10/22 mag out also.Anyone tried these?
Hey DubDub:
Did you load the ProMag polymer until it wouldn't hold anymore rounds, or did you count 30 cartridges for loading?
My ProMag polymer's hold 32 rounds of .223.
I haven't tried overlaoding it with 32, and am wondering if maybe it overcompresses the spring, causing the last two rounds to spill-out?

I have a few of the Butler Creek Hot Lips magazines, and two of the STEEL LIPS magazines.
I have found them to be very reliable. I have many thousands of rounds through each of them. They are quite durable.
They do require a 'break in' period though to get them to function properly. I have found that running 100 to 200 rounds through them will do the trick.
I have not tried the polymer MINI-14 magazines. I use only factory original Ruger 5, and 20 rounders.
Good Shooting!
