This one is a Breda, 1955 manufacture.

This one is a Beretta, VAR 1966 dated barrel. The original stock it was in was a brutal looking beech stock. I could barely look at it it was so fugly. I bought an unfinished boyds and stuck it in that.

Both of them shoot great.

Here's what happens when you reload at the bench but grab the Bullseye instead of the 4895....... :o
Not mine by the way, but I'm privy to what happened. About 48g of Bullseye.

I don't know anything about reloading so this is prolly a stupid question. Whats bullseye? I would definately have to change my pants after that. What happened to the person, how bad were they hurt?

Timberland-
Bullseye is a type of powder w/ a completely different burn rate than 4895, wich is a 'stock' powder for 30-06 in a garand.
Slappy-
Is the blownup garand a total write off? And more importantly, did the shooter get hurt? If so, I hope not too badly. I guess that's why one must be so careful when reloading, and follow the reloading recipe as close as possible. :sniper:

Yeah, he was loading at the range bench for a pistol as well as the M1. He grabbed the pistol powder (bullseye) instead of the 4895......he did walk away from it. Few scratchs, lots of bruising. Gun was a write off, not safe to fire anymore as the bolt lugs sheared off and the receiver was stressed. Probably in excess of 100,000PSI.......the ole M1's are tough as nails not to come apart....... :o
