That's a very very nice rifle! Gorgeous wood with a ton of character in the grain.

That's a very nice good old Sako! The older ones in unusual calibers (such as the .270) still range high prices at auctions over here... (Sweden, right next to Finland, is flooded with Sakos and Tikkas). You guys in the US seem to be paying too much for them. But ever since Beretta bought both companies, I have a feeling they're not as good anymore... The one Sako I would recommend to all US folks is the .222 Sako Vixen from the 1970's. It came out during the roe deer explosion of the 1970's and 1980's (the foxes all caught scabies, so there were no predators for a while). The Vixen is a very nice bolt action indeed, and if you can get it in full stock , buy it!

Yes it does. 1 m.o.a. with Remington Express 100 gr. and 130 gr. factory ammo. About the only criticism I would have of it is that it is a bit heavy at close to 8 lbs. Of course, a lot of people prefer a heavier rifle for stabilty and accuracy, but I still prefer the Winchester Model 70 Classic Featherweight for a lot of carrying in the field. ;)
