Not being from Kommyforniastan, and professing that I don't know all of that States laws (hell, I am still learning all my States laws), I will give you my interpretation on what the law says according to Legal Community Against Violence. (http://www.lcav.org/states/california.asp)
The term "assault weapon" also includes any:
1. Semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following: 1) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; 2) a thumbhole stock; 3) a folding or telescoping stock; 4) a grenade or flare launcher; 5) a flash suppressor; or 6) a forward pistol grip;
2. Semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than ten rounds;
3. Semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches;
From what I see in the pic, It doesn't have any of #1, so that doesn't apply
Don't know if you have a magazine with more than 10 round capacity and I am fairly sure that SKS' are over 30".
So I would say that it would be legal. But you should probably call the DOJ just to make sure.

Should be fine. No pistol grip or thumbhole stocks. And the SKS isn't ever really an "Assault weapon" because it has a fixed magazine. Leave the fixed magazine and you could probably (legally, expect to get harassed if it is found though) add a folding stock or anything else as long as you keep the fixed magazine.
