SKS scope options

I was just wandering if anybody had any suggestions for a scope on the SKS. I was also wandering if a shell deflector really neccessary if I want to use a full length scope. Thanks.

By the way, I have a yugo SKS. I will post a pic sometime soon.

I might think about a scout mount for the SKS, bcause the SKS tends to eject straight up. With a scout mount, you can get a better scope. Take a look at this thread for more info.

By the way, if you plan on using a full length scope in the traditional position, I would get a deflector unless you don't mind buying a new scope every couple of trips to the range :D

Hey thanks for the info, BlenderWizard. I was wondering if the scout mount would work on my yugo gas tube, since it is a different size than the rest?

I have a scout mount on my mini-14, and I love it.

Hmmm.... I'm not sure if they make a scout mount for the yugo. i did not take that into consideration.
