I know this topic has been discussed somewhat, but aside from factory Ruger clips...who makes the best Mini 30 mags? 10 and 20 rounds don't really feel I need a 30 round mag.

I have 3 Triple K 10 round mags and all 3 work perfect. I don't need 30 either but have been searching for 20 with no luck. Did try 2 Western 20 rounders from Cabela's REAL JUNK!!!!!! Don't waste your time returning them, (labeled as Cabela's).

Sorry, meant to say don't waste your time buying them as they did return my money.

Welcome to the forum Donny_Cash. For the Mini-30 10 rnd Pro-Mags seem to be the best. 20 round mags are a different story. Few companies make 20's for the Mini-30. There is a Tip in the Tips & Tricks section for taking AK mag parts to make the aftermarket Mini-30 mags work. You can try one to see if it works for you.

thanks pdog for the warning on cabela's 20 rounders, sadly i bought my Mini from Cabela's and got a 20 rounder at the same time. It's junk; jamms ammo, hard to slide in and a few times had a hard time getting it out of the gun. pdog you got a web site I can order Triple K's from? Thanks for the welcome cajunqeo- been snooping around for a little bit but thought I would finally post.

Okay here's a few more mag questions for everyone. Today after I went shooting I went to the Sportsman's Guide, they had a generic 10 round mag for 34.99; grabbed my clip out of my friends truck and compared it to my factory 5 rounder. It looked like a factory mag, but no markings. $35 too much for a ten rounder? Also on line I found either a 20 or 30 round(can't remember which) Millet poly mag, anyone know if Millet makes good mags? Thanks in advance for any help

I got my 20 rnd mag from cheaper then dirt and it works really well, although its for a mini-14 i would think a mini-30 one should work just as good.

D-C, I live near a Cabella's and walked in. Triple K is in a yellow packaging, Western in clear cellophane, stay away from it. If you call Cabella's, specify Triple K. Midway is also good to do business with, been in there place also.

all my USA 20rd mags work great. The 30rd mags are another story, it feeds good but is a little hard to put into the gun.

That is just on my 30 though

I went to FAC going out of buisness sale today and they had alot of mini 30 20rd and 30rd mags for under $20 . I could'nt find a brand name on the bags. They might still be taking phone orders.

ok, ive got a mini-30 like you. and i own (3) thrity (30) rounders that work flawlessly! i got them from CDNN.com or something like that. they were only like $20 a piece, a VERY HARD follower that has a nice long bolt stop and a perfect shape. spring is perfect, all metal.

i love them! ive dumped over 1000 rounds in each and had no one problem, even in the beggining :rapid: :rapid: :rapid: :rapid: :rapid: :rapid:
