This is a test more than anything else. I'm trying to see if I can post a pic. And the only one I have right now is of CM Jr. with his 1st deer. He got it in WV 4 years ago. A nice 120 yard off hand shot.

Looks good except for me the bottom of the pic, just under the deer's eye, is cut off. It looks like based on the pic outline there should be more. But it could just be my browser. Does the pic look fine to you???

Ok, and what kind of rifle is that. Particularly what's the rear sight, a peep??? I can't tell from the pic. I plan to start my kids shooting peeps before they move up to scopes. I feel they should know how to use both and not be dependant on a scope to hit the broad side of a barn. Well, atleast while their eyes are young... lol.

Yeah, its looks the same way to me too. Cutting off the bottom ???? As for the rifle. Its a WWII type 99 Jap. 7.7. It was a war prize. It was given to my father in-law back in the 60's. The guy that gave it to him was a Marine. He was on Okinawa and was in a safe zone. Yeah right. He was caught out in the open by a sniper. He jumped into a shell hole. Pick the rifle off a dead Jap and got the sniper. My father-law is a wood worker. So he made the stock for it. Cut the bbl down, bent the bolt and put a hooded front site on it. As for the rear peep. Its a Williams. I started him off with a 22LR single shot Stevens that had peeps on it. Now, 11 years later he can shoot just about anything. And in some cases, he can out shoot adults. Witch I love. :D
