I have seen the new hi-cap mags for the mini 14 all over the place but have not herd one word about the mini 30. Anyone know if someone is making new ones? And I'm not talking about USA. I have nothing but trouble every time I pick one of them up.

All my USA's for my 30 seem to work fine... everyone else has problems. I've not heard of anyone manufacturing new hi-caps though, but I would also be interested if someone knew something.

With the exception of the old thermolds, I have had no luck

I talked to Claudia at John Masen recently, and asked her about any future plans to produce Mini-30 mags. She said that they were never really able to produce a Mini-30 mag that was up to thier standards (pre-AWB), and that they had no plans to make Mini-30 mags in the future.
Bummer!
I haven't heard anything about ProMag's plans, but Mini-30 30 rounder's aren't listed on thier website with the new production Mini-14 mags (though they do list 10 rounder's.)

Would be nice to see Pro Mag crank some Mini-30 mags out. Just don't think there is enough demand though.

I'd settle for good 20 round mags for the Mini30 if they are out there!!!!

30 rounds for the Mini-30 can be found at DK Mags (http://www.dkmags.com)

I don't know anything about them, as I don't own a Mini-30. However, since you can't find them anyplace else, you might as well give Dave a call. His web site says he has 15 left.

I have purchased several mags from Dave before and have been happy with what I've received.
