View Full Version : Video Clip Gallery
It would be sweet if there was a "Video clip section" were we could post short (2or 3 mb's) video clips of us blasting our mini 14's at action targets and stuff. I'm not an expert at webpage design,so I wouldn't know if would be possible to host here or not..... What do ya say? Good idea,or Lame idea ?
Thanks,Z
Good idea.
It CAN go into the existing galleries, but it might be good to have a common place for all videos.
Get me a few people who can contribute (actually upload videos) to commit, and I'll do it.
Thanks Bill, I'm going to post your reply on the mini 14 forum, to see if theres any interest. Also, what is the procedure for uploading the clips?
Regards, Z
I will have to change the site to allow uploads with the right extension.
We'll need to see what people have:
.avi, .mpg, .mpeg, etc.
The videos that I took are in .MOV, Which is Quiktime player's format. If necessary can they be changed to Mpeg some how?
Thanks,Z

There's software out there to make the changes to and from about anything. I'll look deep into the hard drive and find the names of some.

You might try software such as:
Alive Video......or
WinMPG.........or
Videozilla

I can add MOV to the list as well.
Actually, the extensions are only used for checking IMAGES, not uploads.
I've increased the size of uploads allowed for end users to 768K, Moderators to 1MB.
I really don't want people uploading larger files, they are a waste of bandwidth.
If you have something really cool, but it is 5MB, we can make a special arrangement and I'll post it directly.
Crosshair has stepped up with some webspace he's letting us upload to. Videos (http://gra.midco.net/video1/) Z

How would I go about using my video camera, and putting the file onto my PC? Do I need a Digital video converter, or something of the sort?
Thank you, Signed,
Spark Johnson.
That's not an easy one to answer.... it all depends on what camera you have and what computer equipment you have.
Ask the same question in Chit Chat and there may be a few enthusiasts who can help.
