This was the third day of the season in NW Missouri...needless to say my son, Geoff, and I got skunked! :angry: My deer season was worse! I did a little better for pheasant though... :) Mark

I look forward to the opener of the Utah mourning dove hunt more than any other hunt. I love it. Lots of targets and shooting. Usually by the first of Sept. though, we've had a cold snap that pushes the doves southward in their migration and they're usually gone from the area after that happens and my dove season is over.
I thought that nobody could hunt doves before Sept. 1 due to the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act or something? How can anyone be hunting doves legally before that? Just curious.

I'll bet that one dove tasted sweet though, after the hunt.

The importnant part of the story is geting young ppl out hunting and loving it. I need to gvet a dig. camera and start taking pics of my kills. Myself and "adaman04" got a squirrel in the back yard a few hours ago with my .17 pellet gun and had him as a nice snack.
Doesnt matter the outcome of the hunt as long as it took place.
