I'm trying to figure out the "best" all around bolt action rimfire rifle. I would like to use it in NRA light rifle so 7.5 lbs and figure 1 lbs for a scope.

On the one hand I'm leaning towards the CZ 452 series as they are cost effective, accurate, and smart looking....but I'm thinking that the Ruger 77/22 is pretty darn spiffy too. Has lots of aftermarket support in magazines and some stocks, and barrels, etc and so on. Then there is the less popular but very nice Remington 504. I have a 541 Custom and that thing is sweet.
Others I have considered, the IZH Biathlon Basic (no longer sold by EAA but Remington is importing them) I have one and was thinking of grabing another before theya re all gone, I've also been thinking about higher end, Coopers and Anschutz...but I'm not sure I want to go that high and really I have them already...but I am hankering for a new .22 bolt action...can anyone HELP ME!

Am I reading this right? You already have the rifles you've listed but you're looking for another to shoot in competition?

The "best all around rimfire" will probably not meet competition specs, but I like the Marlin 981T. Since it is tube fed, it will eat shorts, longs, and long rifles. Now doesn't that cover the "all around" part pretty well?
