Aadje,
Exactly what type of FAL did you get? Got any pics yet to share with us? I'm going to hate you if it is select-fire!!!

By the way, any seller's remorse on the mini-14?

mikr, check the images section, he has pictures of the rifle posted there. It is an original BSA L1A1. If it is select fire then it will be even more rare than it already is as there were not many select fire L1A1's

Thanks Rooster, I did not look at that section until you pointed it out.

Thanks.

I don't believe that that FAL is a select fire weapon. Aadjie is from the Netherlands and I believe fully automatic weapons are illegal for civilian sale there.

All OEM FAL's were capable of select fire operation, but many were "tuned" down with the addition of a Semi-Only selector.

Aadje,
IIRC you can legally own and use sound supressors?

This is one of the great ironies in the gun laws of various European countries. Get a load of this: In my country, you have to present a medical certificate showing that you have an impaired hearing in order to legally own a sound surpressor! BTW, that's a really nice 1961 FAL you got there, Aadje. Living next to Belgium, I bet spare parts are cheap for you. Good luck with it! ;)

thanks
yes that is most importend thing that i bought the fal and sold the mini
its a big problem to get new mini parts here the new bolt took 7 months to get here
i liked the mini but the fal is better for me
the ammo is not so expensive and plenty of parts
