I have decided to buy a complete FAL and am looking for a place to get one for a reasonable price. Could someone point me to a good vendor with reasonable prices?

DSA looks very nice but is a little on the high side. The only other place I know of that has them is here:

http://www.militarygunsupply.com/shop/item...?itemid=fistg58 (http://www.militarygunsupply.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=fistg58)

$800 built on an IMBEL reciever.

CVD, you can try www.gunsnstuff.net (http://www.gunsnstuff.net), or get a copy of either Shotgun News, or Gun List magazine. You'll find a lot of dealers in them.

In the FAL world there are many options, but like most everything else there are certain things to stay away from. The first and most important of these is anything made by Century. This does not include parts imported by Century, they are fine.

The rifle that you linked to at MGS will be a quiality rifle. Other places to look will be the Marketplace Forums at www.falfiles.com/forums (http://www.falfiles.com/forums) and www.warrifles.com/forums (http://www.warrifles.com/forums)

Thanks guy, I think Im going to go with a DSA STG58 from the place greybear posted. I hadnt realized they sell FAL's (among many other nice firearms!), the place is only 40 minutes from me.

I'd call and check availability first. DSA has had a backlog of several months recently and this would carry over to their second hand retailers.
