I had a good opening day of deer season here in the far Northeast corner of PA.
It was a quiet morning with only a few doe moving, but in the afternoon around 3:00 this 10 pointer came strolling in with his harem :) He stood about 60 yards away-- The shot was from the front slightly quartering away with a 30/30 Marlin (was looking right at me!) ... The 150 grain flat tip entered just right of his sternum (looking at him) and exited the left side ribcage about the second to last rib. He ran about 15-20 yards and piled up :) Needless to say that made my day!
