Nice rifle Goeth... simple but sweet! B) :sniper:
Nice rifle... welcome to the Remington 700 club.
Let us all know how it shoots.
I have already shot it , i love it, but its not a all day shooter and it will take some time to get use to the kick lol, but it shoots very nice :)

Very nice !!
Nice looking rifle! The Remington 700 BDL has always been one of my favorites. I recently bought my 2nd one....this one is a .223 with a Leupold 3-9X40 on top.

Nice rifles guys! That syn/ss one looks just like the one I recently got rid of, it was .270 though. Basic, accurate, and reliable. What more could anybody ask for?

You can order a new standard 700 BDL (classic wood stock) down here for $525 from my local Walmart. It took 3 days to get it from the wholesaler and I had "return privileges" if I didn't like it when it arrived. I was very pleased with it when it came. After being a bit apprehensive after reading some criticism of Remington products in various places on the net, I was exceptionally pleased with mine. Fit and finish was excellent, the blueing and metalwork was excellent, and it had a good, creep-free trigger. The trigger was a bit heavy out of the box, but after a 10 minute adjustment to my preference, and the required safety checks, it is great at about 3 1/2 lbs. They have a catalog at the Walmart sporting goods department and you can consult that for prices...I'm pretty sure the 700 BDL with the synthetic stock was even less than the model with the walnut stock. :)
texagun,
Thank you for the information. I saw a 270 today for $525.00 at Dicks and almost bought it, but I want a 30-06!
