Marlin 917V .17 HMR

I just brought home a new Marlin 917V .17 HMR and was giving the rifle a good inspection. The trigger WOBBLES left to right! Is this rifle defective? :(

How much does it wobble? Does it feel like something may have snapped? Or does it feel like the rifle just has loose tolerances?

Kravman4.....It moves left to right about 1/4 of an inch. When you operate the bolt, it tightens up a little bit. After you pull the trigger, it goes back to being loose again. If I can get to the gun shop today, I'll check out another one to see if the same thing happens. Maybe I'll call Marlin also.

sounds like a defective trigger.... mine is rock solid!
