I have just came into owning a Win '94 in .32 Win Spl, this weapon was made in 1964, it is considered as being of the Pre 64 vintage, has the half cock for a safety and no other safety improvements added. From the appearance of this rifle it has been used very little, there is some bluing on the loading gate side of the receiver that is just starting to show wear which appears to be caused by carrying the rifle, it has turned kind of a rust color but there is no rust. Inside the loading compartment there is very little signs of wear on the bolt slides, they are still in their blued configuration, as is the cartridge carrier itself, so I feel that very few rounds have been through this '94.

The problem I'm having is: It is impossible to cycle the rifle in any manner (fast or slow) since the cartridge carrier, from the magazine to the breech, seems to be rising at the front to far which will jam the nose of the cartridge into the upper portion of the breech preventing the round from completely entering it. If I backoff on the loading lever and jiggle it somewhat the carrier seems to drop down enough, levels itself out, for the cartridge to be loaded. It makes no difference if it's the first round or any others, the problem just repeats itself each time the lever is cycled. Any ideas or solutions to a fix would be very welcome and appreciated. My Thanks in advance to any who reply to this post. :(

well it looks like to me from the description that either a piece of metel has either worn down inside the receiver or it by accident came from the factory that way of which would be a rare fluke because win model 94 is one of the best deer hunting rifles out there and it seems like your gonna have to find some replacement parts for it because its extremly rare for that to happen because ive been in gunshops and ive seen model 94 rifles out there with the barrels totally worn out and the date on them was 1912,so dont give up on the 32 special just get some replacement parts and you probably never wear it out.
