more evil guns. My yugo has had pretty everything that can be done to it, done to it. Choate fiberglass stock, trigger job, hard chrome all internal parts, custom compensator, fiber optic sights, removed bayo lug and grenade launcher, matt chrome finish, made magazine removable. I also have a five rounder for it for hunting.

Holy sh**! Did you have that Yugo plated, or did you use the stainless color gunkote? That looks really good

No it is matte chromed. She shoots great. I know, a little rediculous spending that much on an sks, when I coulda bought an Ar for what I spent, but I like taking it out at the range when everyone there is shooting an AR and they all look at mine. A local gunsmith did it for me. They are actually pretty big and have done a few for Rob Leahtham and hank williams jr. http://www.apwcogan.com/
They did a great job. Actually had it done in Jan of 03 but I just got a digital camera. This week I'm gonna drop off a 20 and a 30 rounder to them and matte chrome them to match

Well, how much did the plating cost?

Timberland

looking at the invoice here, $190 for plating of rifle. triger job and hard chroming internals was $95. Check out their websight. they do some pretty neat stuff.

Where could a person find a "custom" muzzle brake like yours? I rescued a bastardized Yugo 59/66 and the grenade launcher had about 2" sawed off of it to make it nonfunctional I'm guessing. Great looking Yugo you have there. I'm certain that it will be a head-turner.

Thanks for the compliments. I had it all done at Cogans. They make it there. Try their web site, I'm sure you can buy just that from them. I wouldn't email them. I have done that a couple times and never got a reply. I would try calling them. If you want I can stop by their place tomorrow and ask them if you don't want to call long distance- I work two buildings down from them.

Didn't have much luck with a Google search finding Cogans. Sure, if you're willing, I'm interested in a price on a muzzle brake such as yours. It doesn't have to have a finish on it, as I can blue it if needed. As they manufacture the part, I'm sure they have countless options. If they have one that will thread onto the factory Yugo threading, then it'll be even better since I've got my sawed off launcher removed.

P.S. Is it a sin to admire another man's rifle in lust? LOL

loco, looking at the invoice, it was 69 dollars, but that was for compenator and intallation too. And that was two years ago when I had that all done. their website is www.apwcogan. com
I'll ask them tomorrow for you to see how much it would be. Can you post a pic of your rifle where it is cut off at?

Talked to cogan. They have them and they are 70 dollars. Their website has a phone number on it where you can call them.

Thanks Timberland, I'll definitely check it out. The launcher was cut off on the large end in front of the pin. I drove the pin out and unthreaded the leftover piece of launcher off.
