While at the range yesterday decided to bust a box of reloads thru my pt-145. I have never had any problems with this Taraus Millenium in the past several years I have owned it. It has shot everything I have stuffed into its little squat mag. This time I shot some reloads that consisted of 6 grains of unique stuffed under 185 jhp. The loads were a little under factory, but the Taraus functioned fine, hitting the pie plate at 50 feet until about the 30th round. Then the rounds wouldn't chamber. I tried and tried but none would feed. I checked them feeding into my 1911, no problem, ran some thru the CZ, again, no problem. My buddy thought that perhaps the chamber was dirty, I scrubbed it out quick, rounds fed for about 8 shots, then again the same problem. I cleaned again, the rounds functioned fine for another mag's worth, then again. Apparently the Unique is too dirty for the pistol. I am going to tear the pistol down tomorrow and give it a complete cleaning then seeing how long it will go before not feeding. I have never had this problem with factory loads. Any one else have this happen?
