FS/Trade springfield a303 sport

For sale here is a partially sporterized Springfield A303 in the 30 06 caliber. This gun wears a Fajen stock that is in good shape-has only a few minor dings from what looks to me like getting bumped around a little in the safe. There are two small chips in the fore end that would be at about the same spot one might rest the gun at while shooting out of a deer box blind/shooting house. The barrel is 23 inches long and the blueing on the barrel and reciever is in GREAT shape (probably re-blued) except for a scratch that is about an inch long on the top of the reciever. It is in the spot where the front base for a scope mount would go. Scope bases would cover it well. The floor plate does have some bluing wear. The gun is NOT drilled and tapped for a scope mount but it is drilled for and has a Williams Peep sight. I do have an old one piece base...I think it is redfield or weaver, that I can include if you are interested. The bore is shiny, the rifling is sharp and the crown is in great shape. The bolt is bent for scope clearance and it has the origional 2 stage trigger. The gun shoots great and functions flawlessly. I am getting about 1.5 to 2 inch groups with 125 grain winchester factory ammo with the peep sights at 100 yards, which for me is pretty darn good. This gun would make a nice foundation for a project.

I would like $300 and I will ship it to your FFL or C&R and would consider trades for 357 revolvers, 22 lr pistols/revolvers, glocks, lever guns, Henry 22lr or...????
