Nothing fancy, refinished the gun/wood, added a Romanian sidefolder. Shoots good.

Minwax Red Mahogany. I think it looks better in person than in the pics.

Outstanding AK! What mags do you have?

Nice! What finish did you use on the barrel and reciever? I just GunKoted my barrel and reciever and it looks great!

I acutally used Duplicolor flat black 1200* engine paint for the finish. Couldn't have asked for anything more durable. It is awesome and only cost about 4 bucks. Looks great too. And for my mags, I have a mix. Have some Polish synthetics, a Hungarian tanker mag, some Bulgarians, a Chinese, and some others with century floorplates. All work flawlessly, though the Polish mags needed a little but of filing to get them to fit. That is what happens when you have a WASR.

Very Nice WASR-10 Bushwacker!

I'll have to post some pictures of mine soon.

Good Shooting!

( I just realized, this thread is OLD!)

How did you make the bold carrier/charging handle bare metal, did you just buff the paint off, then polish it? If so, is a light coat of oil enough to keep it from rusting?

Nice indeed! Did you do any sanding before the stain went on or did you just stain it? Thinking of doing something similar to mine.

You won't be disappointed when you get one! Mine looks great, and functions perfectly (well, most of the time, anyway).
Just make sure you examine the one you want to buy really good before you get it. Some of them can have problems.

Good Shooting!
