Hi there.

For all who have a Mini 30 and a 30 rounder magazine. So I'll show you step by step how you can upgrade your magazine using an AK 47 Magazine follower and spring. You only need a Dremel.

Step 1

The magazine above is the Mini-30. Below is the AK 47.

So the AK follower, and spring is moded to fit the Mini-30, and they feed reliably?

You said material is removed from the silver points? How much and what silver points?

This looks like long awaited up-grade for the Mini-30 guys!

If you don't mind after a while I would like to move your mod to the Tips & Tricks section. Thanks for posting this Alaskaman

Hi cajungeo,

Yes it works on my mini 30. Unfortunately the bolt catch has no function but next I drill a small hole in the follower ( left side ) for a thin screw (function of a bolt catch pin ) and the problem is solved.
The silver points are the silver cants of the follower. Due the different qualities of the magazine`s you have to remove more or less material from the follower. You must test this individually on your magazine.

I'm putting this tip in the Tips and Tricks section. I was waiting for someone else to try and have sucess with this first. Since I haven't heard anything, I will say if you have a 30 rnd mag that isn't working and want to give this a try you haven't much to loose. Let us know how it works. caj
