Well gang, I thought I'd add mine. She's an Arsenal USA (Houston, TX) SSR-56 in 7.62x39 with blonde wood furniture.

I'm about half way through my second thousand round box. I did have some minor feeding issues with the hollow points, but I have since polished the feed ramp and no jams since.

How much did that cost? My local gun shop has one that is identical for $550, and I have no idea if that is a good price or not.

I bought that direct from their rep at a local gun show about 18 month ago for $450 (+ tax of course), so I would venture that $550 isn't bad from a gun shop.

Here's a link to their site. (http://www.globaltrades.com/) The new models SSR-56-2 are listed for $459 (+ FFL transfer and all that). Hope that helps.

As for the other issues with their sales, I don't know, but last month they were still at the Saxet Gun Show here in San Antonio, I'll try and hit it tomorrow and see what I can find out.
