M1 beats out soviet brother

Well yesterday a friend of mine said we should compare My M1 and his Soviet SVT-40 in a shootout. We fired six shots unassisted at 100 yds. The Weapons were both stock military using surplus ammo. The M1 outshot the SVT by over 2 inches. Just to make sure one wasnt the better shot we traded weapons and shot an additional 6 rounds. M1 still came out on top. The SVT's groups improved by 1/2 an inch when I shot it. Now im in the I told ya so mood lol.

You've just proved what a lot of us old-timers already knew...the M1 was the greatest battle implement of its day. Not ONE of the other WWII-vintage semi-auto battle rifles was as reliable and accurate as John Cantius Garand's creation.
It's still a first-rate weapon, by the way.
I'm glad to see you swapped rifles to rule out shooters' skill. The fact that you out-shot him with his own weapon - WTG!
