I found a really nice Revelation 205 that appears to be a Marlin 336 "contract gun". However, when did a google serach to find out, a post from E-Gun parts claims it was made by Mossberg, which is what the guy at the Pawn shop said. Did Mossberg make these under contract from Marlin? Will parts interchange? I need to know, because I have been looking for a good used 336, and this revelation is really excellent and priced right. However, I don't want to get stuck with a dud. I could use a quick answer. Post here or email me here: doyle.hill@intervet.com

Thanks!

Made by Mossberg under contract for Western Auto, probably in the 1970s. Nearly spitting image of the Marlin. Good guns from every account I've heard.

I own a revelation .410 bolt action shotgun. Really simple design and works great. Grandad gave it to me and he also said it was from western auto.
