My brother has one with the 4" barrel and a grey parkerized finish. It is very ergonomic and light in weight. I personally don't care for the trigger (compared to the one on my stainless ruger mark II 5" bull barrel target model) or the location of the safety which is kind of awkward to engage and disengage. The trigger does have very little creep, and is quite crisp. It does have a built in rail/sight system which is good if you intend to mount a scope or a dot, but the front sight is wider than it needs to be and makes quick sight acquisition take longer than it should. The front sight is all black too, there is no white dot on the rear of the front sight. It is easy to operate and take down to clean. The magazine release on the neos can be pressed with a single hand operation, while the MK II involves two hands. For a target gun/.22 plinker this is really no big deal. They do make a neat carbine kit for the neos, it looks pretty slick.
It is worth the money in my opinion when compared to other pistols such as the P22 and the new MKIII which Ruger is having problems with. I'm glad I have the MK II, I could live with the loaded chamber indicator but I hate a magazine disconnect.

I have a NEO,and the only thing I don't like is that it is too small in my hands, but it is one accurate little gun. If Beretta doesn't have a slightly bigger grip for it by now, I'll either sell it or get the carbine kit to have a .22 rifle to play with. The only thing I can say is if it feels good in your hand, then get it, you wont be sorry.
