help with scope

hi there guys, need some advice on m y bsa sweet .17 scope that i got with no instructions. how does it work? kinda got it figured out? but would like some advice before i end up wasting expensive ammo. wrote to BSA for a manual but would like to try it out now. will be shooting at 100-125 yds.
