I love to plink with the Super Colibri powderless .22 ammunition. I have a well worn Revelation Model 110 that shoots the super Colibri very well and I mounted a Daisy Electronic Point Sight to it that I bought a Wally World for about $8. I use this setup for hunting those feral house cats and starlings mostly, but yesterday I got to try a little larger and more dangerous beast....the woodchuck. :D The first groundhog I attempted to kill was about 25 feet away and I could see the little 20 grain .22 round glance off the groundhogs' back. It lumbered away into the weeds and I was thinking that this wasn't going to be very effective on anything bigger than a house cat.... I mean feral house cat. :D I then saw a groundhog about 60 yards away and I figured what the hell. I placed that little red dot on the piggies' shape and fired. To my surprise the groundhog went belly up. I would like to mention that there is a warning on the ammo box against shooting the Super Colibri in rifles because of the possibility of the round getting stuck in the barrel. I have one rifle that shoots it well and a newer one that doesn't, so use your own judgement if you decide to try it.

Yep, the little Colibri is good for small pests, but is really lacking for big game (bigger than a small squirrel, that is). I once popped a home-invading 'possum right between the eyes at point blank with one - he shook it off and ran. I did find him dead later, but it wasn't a clean kill.
Mice is a different story - good "Whompability Factor" on the small game!

My Henry lever-action loves the Colibri, and is fairly accurate up to 25 yards. The Super Colibri isn't quite as accurate, but is more powerful.
I've been popping feral cats with my trusty Red Ryder, as I haven't wanted to actually kill 'em - just let 'em know they aren't wanted here. One is really wrecking havoc with my squirrels though. Time to bring out Mr. Henry - mustn't freak out the neighbors . . .

That blurb on the box about rifles is typical Legalese. I have only had one gun out of a half-dozen shooting Colibris that had a problem, my Winny 75T. It must have a particularly tight bore - superbly accurate rifle!
In a pistol or revolver, the Colibri loses it's whole claim to fame - it ain't quiet anymore! Short barrels and cylinder gaps let too much gas escape. Too noisy for "Neighborhood Safaris".
