this is just a few ideas that i've either had myself, seen in books/movies games etc that people may or may not know about, and spur-of-the-moment ideas- something i'm always bound to have.
note*
i haven't personally tested any of these other than in computer games (tactical ones, such as rainbow six or americas army- give credit where its due)
the first thing on the list of brain food is the tactical door opening. think about it- the door is a perfectly viable shield, all you have to do is crack it, but your hips against it to push it open *slowly*, and keep your gun paralell with the door as it opens. this keeps you shielded from areas you haven't cleared yet (sometimes a visual shield is just as protective as a 440-stainless steel one, i've read) and allows you to take out all comers at a somewhat greater advantage.
the second thing has more to do with perimeter penetration than normal tactics.
this is a method of getting over a razor-wired fence (as described in 'knights of darkness', by Dr. haha Lung). the method itself requires only one extra piece of equipment from your (probably) normal arsenal: a towel (or some other thick mat of cloth to cover the wire with). the method itself is to a: throw the towel over the wire where you wish to cross, then b: stand with your back to the fence, reaching up above you with both hands and securely grasping the wires/boards/edge of the fence, then c: jumping as you pull yourself up and over the barbed wires in a motion similar to a pull-up.
the third idea has its roots in midevil japan, in the training halls of the ninja, and has to do with visualization: the ninja had a large series of paterns for this purpos, but the simplest one is one you've probably seen:a circle, and within that circle a square, and within that square a triangle. the trick is to look at the image for a few seconds, try to memorize it, and then to close your eyes and see how long you can hold that image perfectly in your mind. if i'm not mistaken, this is a technique taught to SWAT to use to quickly glance at a room and then study the image burned into their minds from use of this technique.
last but not least, this is something of a novelty (more than anything else here)
*................................................. .................................................. ................*
close your left eye, and look at the left point with your right one. can you still see the right point? (may vary with difference in resolution, but it looks correct now from about 18 in away with the points about 4.5 inches apart). the reason that you can't see the second point (or at least shouldn't be able to) is because there are no photo-receptors right above the small area where your optic nerve enters your eye. when you look at the left dot with your right eye only, your left eye isn't able to compensate for your lack of vision in your right eye (as is normally the case).
thats all for now, i hope this somehow helps some of you.
