My thoughts exactly. I don't know what use it has. Not at all accurate. I guess it "looks" intimidating so people want them. I dunno. <_<

Hell, if innacuracy were its only problem, I couldn't see anything *too* wrong with it. But considering its terrible reliablility issues, I can't see any reason for owning one.
I thought Tec-9's and Mac-10's were the reason why so many innocents got killed in driveby shootings- they were so inaccurate, you'd hit everyone EXCEPT your target.
When you make something full-auto and it has a 50-round mag your're bound to hit something, your "target" and anyone in the general vacinity. The anti-gunners and television have given the weapon a bad reputation. I mentioned it's lack of accuarcy because I used to have one about 15 years ago and it's not all that television makes it out to be. Sold mine after '94 for 3x what I paid for it. It's reliablity and functionality don't meet my standards. It jammed more than Smuckers and is not made for my kind of shooting.

I thought production ceased completely after '94. Sarah Brady called them the "perfect criminal gun". She claims the grips are capable of not allowing the shooter to leave fingerprints.

Drive-bys are not sport shooting and serve no purpose. If that's what you (the world in general) are after, I'm sure there are some law enforcement people here who would just love to talk to you, if you know what I mean. ;)
Here's a link that might answer the original question.

I think we all pretty much agree that it's a last resort type of weapon.

It was more meant to exemplify the question, "Why would you want one?" The quip about drivebys and inaccuracy was just that, a joke. A bad one, sure, but still a joke nonetheless. Personally, I would never want to buy a weapon that's that inaccurate. If I wanted something for last resort SHTF that was full auto, I'd get my hands on a grease gun. Now that's some reliable shooting. :) Not necessarily super accurate, but definitely reliable. ;)
