I don't currently have a Mini-14 (my dad has a Mini-30, but I really want to learn the internals of the rifle.
Does anyone know of any sites, or have any diagrams that could help me out?
I just want to know what people are talking about when they talk about "replacement gas bushings", etc...
I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks!

Canuck,
The replacement gas bushing is part #21 in this diagram (courtesy of Brownell's). It's a small steel cylinder with an orifice in it through which combustion gas is bled off from the barrel and transferred through the gas block (#76) to the piston (#20) which pushes the slide assembly (#61) back, cycling the bolt. The replacement gas bushings have a smaller orifice, so less gas is let through and the action is cycled less violently.
PS: Parts lists and diagrams for all current Rugers can be found HERE. (http://www.ruger.com/Firearms/SE-PartsBooklets.html)

Thanks very much guys!
This is exactly (the digram and why they replace with a smaller gas bushing) what I was looking for.
